Popular FLorida Areas

Sarasota/Bradenton

Sarasota is located in Florida's Gulf Coast region.  Sarasota is home to the US's  #1 Beach "Siesta Key", was named one of the best places to live and one of the best places to retire.  Contributing factors are average daily temps over 70 degrees, a high concentration of Zagat rated restaurants, over 90 area golf courses, over 30 miles of pristine white sand beaches, a variety of watersports, and cultural and art events.  Sarasota captured our hearts and was the inspiration for our move to Florida.

Venice

Venice, just south of Sarasota along Florida’s white-sanded Gulf Coast, offers 14 miles of beaches, from Casey Key to Manasota Key and plenty of recreational opportunities, including swimming, sunbathing, fishing and boating.

shelling is also a favorite pastime in Venice, and fossilized shark's teeth can be found in abundance by sifting through the sand.

Golfers enjoy excellent courses in the greater Venice area.

Venice also is a Main Street City – its downtown graced by northern Italian architecture and beautifully landscaped boulevards that date to the original city plans of 1925 and reminiscent of the Italian city of Venice whose name it borrowed.

Tampa

With its mix of historic architecture and modern landmarks, a culture infused with Cuban and Spanish flavors, vibrant business districts and beautiful waterways, Tampa is a wonderful place to work, play and unwind.

Downtown is alive with urban parks, including the gorgeous riverwalk hip bars and innovative restaurants and amazing restorations of turn-of-the-century buildings.

For residents and visitors alike, there’s no shortage of things to do in Tampa, whether it’s paddling along the Hillsborough River, sampling tequila at a margarita festival, enjoying a pro football or hockey game, riding a thrill-coaster at Busch Gardens or attending an opera at the Straz Center.

Tampa is known for being a great city for all ages and tastes, offering hotel accommodations that fit any budget and catering to everyone, including families, outdoor adventure seekers, and foodies and wine connoisseurs. Once known as a melting pot for all cultures and settlers, Tampa remains a welcoming place for those seeking fun, opportunity and a chance to try new things.

While it’s only a short, 30-minute drive to the beaches, Tampa’s real strengths lie in its city life.
